This past weekend we went down to the coast for a wedding. Chris lived with 3 guys at Delta State and this was the last roomy to get hitched! We thought it was ideal because the wedding location was 20 miles from Chris's parents house so that meant a free place to stay and a free babysitter for date night. Well...Colby had other plans. He is a creature of habit and doesn't like change too much! As we were entering the reception I called to make sure that Colby was asleep and he was wide awake screaming Mama Mama. It was an hour or so past his bedtime and JoJo said he was having a panic attack every time they would put him in the bed. Colby always reads a book, sings a song, and lays straight down without any problems, so I knew it was because he wanted his mommy and daddy. He was doing great with Coach & JoJo, he just thought he should wait up for us to get home (he must get the stubbornness from his father LOL). Coach told us to stay and enjoy ourselves and Colby would eventually fall asleep when he got tired enough, but I knew he needed us and it was time to go home. We didn't even get to speak to the bride and groom, enjoy the food, or eat a delicious piece of cake but when I walked in the door and Colby ran into my arms screaming Mama Mama, I could careless!!!!!!!
We read our book, sang our song, and he went right to sleep without a peep! It's such a wonderful feeling to be a mom because you are everything to your child!!

On the way home after staying up way too late!

Pump It Up
Today we went to Pump It Up for the first time, and Colby enjoyed every second of it! I think Chris and I had just as much fun as Colby. We did everything with him because there were a lot of big kids there and they weren't really paying attention around the younger ones. Colby didn't care, he acted like he was their size. He didn't have any fear and just jumped right on in like he was a big boy. He didn't stop running for the entire 2 hours. We were in good company with the Buckleys, Franz, and little Usry! I'm so excited about Colby's birthday party at Pump It Up, only 4 1/2 more months hehe! Colby's cousin is having a birthday party there in August so we are ready to go back!

Tickle Monster
JoJo came to town for a visit and we all went to lunch and had a great time! Every time JoJo comes to visit, Colby gets a new wardrobe ( Woo Hoo) but this time he also got the cutest book ever! Colby loves loves loves to look at books and always wants us to read to him so I know this will be a favorite for many years to come!!
It came with these adorable gloves and while reading the book it tells you where the Tickle Monster will tickle next. It's so funny and great for interactive reading that makes a book come alive! I give it a ten, thanks JoJo!

A Love For Reading
I have a huge love for reading and I hope to pass it onto Colby! I think it's one of the best gifts you can ever give a child! He already has favorite books and he pretends to read each page. It just melts my heart when I walk into his room and see this:
He loves to pick out a book to read!!
You can never have too many books!
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
Dr. Suess
“Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.”
Margaret Fuller
"A home without books is a body without soul.”
Marcus Tullius Cicero
"If you read a lot of books you are considered well read. But if you watch a lot of TV, you're not considered well viewed.”
Lily Tomlin
The greatest gift is a passion for reading. It is cheap, it consoles, it distracts, it excites, it gives you knowledge of the world and experience of a wide kind. It is a moral illumination.”
